Trip to Broughty Ferry

Catchup on Lifedrawing

Unfortunately I've missed more life drawing lessons in the last few weeks than I ever have in any other semester combined. Which is sad, I love it and I'm running out of time to make the most of it. Here are some of my favourites from what I've been up to lately.

Character Designing

These are the latest sketches on what I need to start animating a character for the Forest film. We were recently told by an external examiner that our story ending wasn't up to scratch, so we were urged to change our story and our character.
This is the result.

Its not very well set out at the moment, but I'm going to come back and add more to it.
I've had so many disasters trying to draw this sheet out even to this point. Windows updated and deleted it more than once- part of why I'm paranoid and putting it online now incase it decides to delete itself again.  Various times, there seemed to be an error in the photoshop file itself where layers went missing, not sure if that was my fault or not.

Cartooning flatmates

My flatmate and I laugh a LOT. This is mostly due to the funny stories she tells me. Most folk laugh fairly regularly (or at least I hope they do!) but we usually end up crying with laughter nearly every single night. Its probably the most exercise I do each day.
All this laughing starts most nights with  'you'll never guess what happened to me today...'
I've told my flatmate repeatedly that she needs to write down these stories, the way she tells them is priceless.

Based on these silly stories, I've been sketching out some designs for a cartoon version of her, to feature illustrating out some of these stories when she gets around to writing them down.

I'm sure there will be more to come
